Ultra-Budget Mono-White Angels I almost didn't include an ultra-budget version this week, because it's nearly impossible to make the deck play the same while also cutting the price, since Archangel of Tithes, Eldrazi Displacer, and Knight of the White Orchid are among the most expensive cards in the deck and are also essential to the plan
Of the three-colored allied pairs (such as Esper and Bant), all of the combos include either black or green
But what I came in expecting to be a strange, one-off novelty is actually a pretty entertaining and thoughtfully designed package Id like to try out again
If after I looked at the Plains on top I then shuffled it back in to the deck, I wouldnt have gained any information about the top card at all- its not any more likely to now be a Swamp
This deck was a brew that I built and worked on early on in our testing process and later championed alongside Javier, who as always worked closely with me to bring the deck to the tournament winning level, with key contributions from Christoffer Larsen
