This Leonard boasts bright ferrules

Ferrules date from the '20's or '30's as they are the "pot belly" type seen on older Payne and Leonard rods (I love the sculptural touches found on these early catskill tradition rods)

"Carlson" is elegantly lettered on the butt section and the rod is wrapped in a handsome green with a keeper and three windaways on the butt section

Sparse gave the rod to Everett Garrison to modify and improve the action

The varnish is glass-perfect
