2019 Domaine de Grand Pré Castel spaghetti Bolognese and in my humble opinionA wine with character and personality! Extremely dark, deep and rich, this wine exudes tobacco, licorice, black fruits and ripe plum. The wine has savoury notes highlighted by black tea and herbaceousness, finishing on a note of black pepper and bacon fat. The light tannins are soft and round. Its hard to make a comparison between this wine and commonly known vitis vinifera, but if I had to name one, I would think of Petit Verdot. (CWC, 06 04 22).
